Description : MS 217 Thi s model demonst r at es t he sequence of operations which take place in the Wankel engine, a concept difficult to explain with ordinary static diagrams.
The eccentric motion of the rotor in the double lobed chamber and the 3 to 1 ratio between the rates of rotation of output shaft and the rotor are all readily apparent. Rotor marked with an arrow to indicate the direction of rotation. Water cooling channels in the engine casing shown &, as with the other models in the range, internal passage ways are coloured to indicate the nature of their contents and a small electric bulb is used to indicate the moment of ignition.
