Description : For the observation of brownian movement in smoke
particles. The apparatus consist of a black wooden or plastic
box with a removable plastic lid. The box contains a smoke
cell, a cylindrical glass condensing lens and 12 V 3 W festoon
bulb, fitted with two 4 mm socket terminals for connection
to 12 V supply. Lid has a small aperature glazed with a
microcover glass which cover the smoke cell. Cell is placed
on the microscope stage and connected to 12 V supply by
terminals. Cell is filled with smoke and cover slip is used to
retain the smoke. Brownian motion will be observed at least
after 15 minutes.
