Description : Moulded plastic ripple tank, four legs with rubber end caps, legs with levelling feet, tank with drain hole fitted with rubber bung, with plastic or acrylic tray. Metal uprights for horizontal rippler support rod which is adjustable in height. Low voltage d.c. motor mounted on a wooden beam suspended by elastic rubber bands. Motor fitted with an eccentric mass which causes the beam to oscillate. Additional point contact sources are given by two plastic spheres, each on a right angled rod which can be adjusted at any height. Overall size of the tank 580x500x30 mm. Beam size 280x30x20 mm, drilled to receive rods of point sources and having two hooks. Motor 6 V d.c. with 1 m of wire. Ripples support rod of light alloy with clips to fit upright rods. Metal support rod for lamp 380 mm long.
