Rectangular, moulded plastic 175 x 145 x 45 mm to hold 4, 1.5 V dry cell batteries beneath it. A central black 4 mm socket and four red 4 mm sockets located at the corners of moulded plate gives 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 6 V tapping as may be required. Four apertures in the plate for easy visibility and for removing cells.

Consist of a heavy cast alloy stand with rubber feet for stability and with two clamping arms, channel in 35 mm width and 3 mm depth to take cores, extends across full length. Laminated U and I cores to form a closed core of section 25 mm, I-core 100 mm long U-core 100 mm in height. A pair of pole pieces 65 x 30 x 25 mm length x width x height with one end shaped and hole drilled through the total length along cone axis. Accessories -( i) 1, 300 turn 4 A coil. Force On Conductor Apparatus

Apparatus to demonstrate force on a conductor in a magnetic field. Comprises of a strong U-shaped magnet and a pair of brass rails with 4 mm socket terminals. A brass axle with plastic discs is free to roll along the rails and completes the electrical contact between these. When the axle is placed on the rails between the poles of the magnet, and a battery or power supply unit is connected, the axle is strongly repelled and rolls along the rails away from the centre of the magnetic field. Dimensions : 175 x 60 x 60 mm high.

To show the conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy. Consist of a star shaped copper disc of 90 mm diameter rotatable vertically on a pair of adjustable centre plate. Disc can be adjusted on a vertical metal pillar of 75 mm height, connected to one of the two terminals mounted on wooden base having four rubber feet. Disc dips into a small plastic mercury trough between the vertical limbs of a small horse shoe magnet. Size of base 150 x 100 mm. Operates on 4 V 1.8 A. Supplied without mercury.
