| To show that the pressure of liquids varies with depth and
not the shape of the vessel. Consist of a four glass vessels of
different shapes and size, held by metal angle arm, mounted
on stand. An adjustable pointer on vertical rod enables the
height of water in the vessels to be set at the same level.
Complete apparatus with mass pan, fitted on base board
approx. 200 x 125 mm having four rubber feet.
The experiment done by screwing in each vase, in turn, and
filling with water to the same level. Observed that for a given
height of water to the same level will give the same deflection
of pointer irrespective of the shape of the vases. Supplied
complete with four interchangeable vases of different
shapes. Overall height 340 mm. |
