| For measuring the tensile strength of different metals by wire samples. Comprises a metal beam having a 5:1 ration and pivoted to move in a horizontal plane mounted on a
stout metal base plate fitted with feet. A wire sample of 100 mm length is held between one clamp at one end of the beam, and another clamp fixed to a tensioning screw. The
other end of the beam is attached to a spring balance having range 0 to 30 x 1 N connected to a second tensioning screw, enabling the position of the beam to be maintained opposite an index mark. Base plate printed with a scale 0-100 x 2 mm
for noting the extension of the wire sample. Overall dimensions 330 x 290 x 40 mm, but without wire samples.Wires used for the above are-Nichrome, Constantan and Copper in packing of 125 gm. or 250 gm. reel, supplied at extra cost.
