Description : For measuring the rate of uptake of water by a cut plant shoot. The apparatus consist of a glass bottle type reservoir 100 x 70 mm height x diameter, fitted with a rubber stopper having three holes. One for bent capillary tube 350 mm long graduated in millimeters 0-300 mm x 1 mm, second for funnel of capacity 25 ml with stopcock and third for a short glass tube of length 10 mm to hold the plant shoot.
