For phototropism experiments with seedlings. Consist of an enamelled mild steel case divided into three compartments each to accept a variety of shutters. Right hand chamber has windows in the top and back, when used with clear glass front shutter acts as a control chamber. Six shutters provided. First opaque to exclude all light; second with slot to admit light from one direction only; third clear window to allow free access of daylight for the control chamber; fourth one translucent for diffused lighting and one each blue and yellow to exclude certain wavelengths.
