Description : A standard mercury barometer with a glass tube of 6 mm bore in an enamelled and lacquered brass case. Dual engraved silvered scales 675 to 820 mm Hg and 26.5 to 32.5 inches Hg, read by a vernier to 0.1 mm Hg and 0.005 inch Hg, enclosed in
a glass cylinder moves by rack and pinion through an adjustable knob; a glass cylinder reservoir at the lower end with an ivory point to which the level of mercury in the cistern is adjusted before taking the reading. A ring support and three loading screws at the base for securing the barometer in a vertical position. Supplied complete with a -10 to 50 C thermometer, mounted on a polished wooden base board fitted with hanging plates. Overall dimensions 1135 x 100 x 100 mm. Supplied without mercury.
